I love adding a new piece of Luxury to my wardrobe every time I travel. And what's a better addition than luxury at a sweet deal? And if I told you that a short train ride from the heart of London could land you right at the doorstep of a shopping paradise where you could shop over 160 luxury and top-tier brands at almost 60% off? There were butterflies in my stomach when I planned this visit and reached at Marylebone station to hop on the short train ride through the picturesque countryside views, straight into The Bicester Village’s own station. Bicester Village is a designer outlet village based on the outskirts of Oxford. The anticipation of what this adventure would be like and what amazing steals I would find had me grinning from ear to ear! So I bought my ticket and boarded the train from London Marylebone for the 45 minute journey to Bicester Village. The train stops right at The Village, get off and walk right in.
Not only does Bicester Village house some of the best international designer labels at amazingly discounted prices but it also offers a very charming shopping experience with some pretty displays that will definitely make you stop in your tracks to capture a few pictures before you walk further. In most stores in The Village, any brand's best sellers are not going to be available on discount at Bicester Village, however they do always have alternatives. Some of the brands you'll find here are- *drumrolls please* Gucci, Dior, Agent Provocateur, Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Balmain, Bally, Bottega Veneta, Balmain, Jimmy Choo, yes- I kid you not; Dolce & Gabbana, Coach, Givenchy, Fendi, Saint Laurent, Prada, Salvatore Ferragamo, Valentino and many, many more luxury fashion and lifestyle brands! Also, if you visit The Village during Cyber Week or any other sale period most stores offer an extra discount.
But hey what's a shopping trip without a binge meal? I decided to have my lunch at the exquisite Cafe Wolsey, sip on a cup of traditional afternoon tea, cozy up with a hot chocolate or sit down over a scrumptious lunch if you fancy something a little more sinful. You can enjoy favourites such as Eggs Benedict, Chopped Chicken Salad and Wiener Schnitzel, Fish and Chips, along with popular additions such as Tartes Flambées, seasonal salads and a choice of pasta dishes.
With leading international and English brands at whooping discounts and tax free shopping in more than 160 boutiques, this place was just where I needed to be for a beautiful day out to satiate the shopaholic in me. Although it's open everyday from 9am onwards, take it from me, even an entire day at The Village wouldn't be time enough to explore everything that they have to offer. And don't let the word 'sale' take you into a boring, dreadful setup because Bicester Village is nothing short of luxurious and mind-blowingly alluring. Set in a cluster of spacious, fanciable clapboard shops that are painted in the prettiest of pastel hues, this place is truly swoon-worthy. Pretty little perches as well as stores adorned with elegant flower installations, nooks and corners with preppy designs and colors on them, this place is an Instagrammer's dream come true!
I walked out of here with one of Dior's 10 most iconic handbags ever which I had my heart set on since a long time, the Dior Addict Studded Brown Lambskin Flap Bag, and I just couldn't stop gushing over my find!! If you're planning a trip to London or are currently in London, I reckon this incredibly chic shopping experience is a bucket-list experience you just can't afford to miss. Here's a peek at how I spent the rest of my time in London flaunting my Dior.
