It's always love at first sight for me in Dubai, every single time, over and over again. The cultural heritage, the glitz of the living heart of Dubai, hugely luxurious coastal resort hotels, audacious architecture, spectacular skylines, fashion and nightlife, flourishing contemporary art scene- you can come here endless number of times and still have new experiences to go back with!
Dubai, a city known for opulence and extravagance, has plenty of lavish hotels for those who like to indulge. I chose to stay at the La Ville Hotel & Suites City Walk. This new, fresh, Autograph Collection property from the Marriott Group was so elegant and comfortable. Located right in the City Walk area , this hotel opens into it's beautifully lit alleys, a creative lifestyle space where you can live, shop, eat, work or play.
The suite was incredibly suave. The sleek lines and updated furnishings really resonated with my taste. And I loved that it was well-lit, especially in the evenings! The suite had two balconies attached to the living room and the bedroom that opened out to the amazing views of the glittering City Walk and Burj Khalifa.
A king bed, a huge, separate sofa area and living area, a huge kitchen space with a dining table and chairs, and a workspace with a desk and chair. The bathroom was enormous too, with double sinks and a freestanding bathtub. There was a separate toilet and shower area too. Oh! how I love the luxuries of big suites!
I dined at the Graze Gastro Grill, relished the chef's personal recommendations. This Mediterranean inspired contemporary eatery serving lunch and dinner opening out onto City Walk, sure had me bowled over by impeccable taste and ambience. And for breakfast I explored Chival, a Californian style, bright, all day dining area serving modern food with a large courtyard setting. What catches your eye is the bright quotes framed on the walls and the lush green plants around. Definitely picture worthy!
Their iconic architecture and welcoming open spaces are truly captivating. According to The Telegraph, 'This low-rise boutique hotel offers a prime city location, rooftop infinity pool with Burj Khalifa views and polished service', and is a straight 9/10- and I couldn't agree more.
